Umdloti living

At the moment Marianne and I live in Umdloti. What a perfect place! Umdloti is situated on the North Coast of Kwazulu-Natal, about 25km from Durban. There is only one access road into Umdloti and this creates a real village feeling. Yesterday a burst pipe caused a landslide that blocked this access road. Nobody could leave or enter the village by car. Off course all the locals decided to hit the beach as the weather was perfect. I borrowed Paul's (my neighbour, colleague and surfer...) boogy board (I was quickly corrected as this is now known as a body board). We spent about 3 hours in the water, perfect
! By then one lane of the road was opened for traffic and we joined the working class at lunch time.
